Context
The proposed approach for the Interface Design of a mobile application involves utilizing transparent screen layouts following a style manual. This application aims to serve as a music streaming system.
Application requirements:
User Registration and Login: Users should be able to register on the application and subsequently log in and out.
Password Recovery: The application should provide an option for users to recover their password in case it is forgotten.
Dashboard Features: Upon logging in, users can access their playlists, artists, and albums.
Category Filters: Users can filter content by Music Style, Most Listened, and Selected for you.
Song Details: Selecting a song reveals its details, including artist, album, image, duration, and playback controls.
Playlist Management: Users have the ability to add or remove songs from their playlists.
Swipe Functionality: While exploring playlists, albums, and suggestions, users can navigate through the song list with a swipe.
Favorites: Users can add or remove songs to/from their favorites list.
Research
During the research phase, an extensive examination was conducted on prominent music streaming applications, including Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, Napster, and Soundcloud.
Two user personas were created to represent potential users of the application: one emphasizing light application use and another portraying a more advanced user.
BEMU is a music streaming app that allows users to listen to their favorite songs on their smartphone or desktop, even offline, without needing a subscription.
BEMU stands out as a free streaming platform that lets users listen to music with ads and offline access. Additionally, it provides artists with fair monetization opportunities through streams.
